The Caribbean, Saint Lucia

There are various anglophone islands among the Lesser Antilles (on the eastern fringe of the Caribbean) and St. Lucia is one of these. It shares characteristics of acrolectal Jamaican English (see relevant entry) such as r-lessness, lack of diphthongisation, lack of distinctive vowel length and syllable-timing.
